What We Do

Thorle Bajirao Peshwe Pratishthan is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the Maratha Kingdom. We support historical research by funding scholars and documenting their findings.

How It Works

Scholars submit research proposals, which we review and fund if selected. We collect and catalog historical artifacts, preserving and displaying them in our museums. Historical sites are identified, documented, and regularly maintained.

At the heart of our mission lies a deep commitment to preserving and promoting the rich history of the Maratha Kingdom. Our trust is dedicated to comprehensive research, documentation, and the dissemination of historical knowledge to scholars, students, and the public. Here’s a glimpse of what drives us:

Educational initiatives are a key part of our mission. We collaborate with schools and colleges to design programs that educate students about India's glorious history, making learning engaging and informative. To increase public awareness, we publicize lesser-known historical sites and conduct informational campaigns that highlight their significance. Researchers and scholars receive financial and resource assistance to support their studies, ensuring they have access to essential books, documents, and evidence.

Aims and Objects of the “THORLE BAJIRAO PESHWE PRATISHTHAN” (TRUST)

  • To carry out comprehensive research and to document the history of Maratha Kingdom and to grant honorarium for carrying out the research to the scholars and to the members to do the comprehensive documentation thereof.
  • To maintain the historic footprints, documents, articles of historic importance and to create and maintain the museum of historic things and articles.
  • To take a stock of historic places, the period, to collect the information, to record the period, to record the importance, to carry out the repairs and to carry out maintenance on regular basis, to conduct research and to generate urge in the minds of people at large of such historic places.
  • To establish and maintain the state of the art an ultramodern study room and library with latest gadgets, equipment, audio-visual system, books from all over the world for the research of the history of Maratha Kingdom.
  • To felicitate the solder – warriors from the Indian Services from all three forces, and reward those who have proven their excellence and expertise in the wars in the war fields.
  • To design and execute the projects to make aware and conversant with the glorious history of India amongst the students from schools and colleges.
  • To publicize the unknown places of historic importance which are not know to majority of people, and create and erect hoardings containing information about such places.
  • To extend financial assistance and other assistance that is needed by the history researchers and scholars, to make them available all those books in connection with the study of history and other documents and evidences which are presently available.
  • To celebrate birth and death anniversary of persons of historic importance and of warriors.
  • To conduct and arrange competitions of essay writing, theatrical one act plays, plays, sports competitions, street-plays competitions, to make aware of History to students and public at large and promote their participation in the activity of preserving and developing History of Marathas.
